Tell us a story: Local residents, natives create Euclids Negatives project
A new collaborative, online storytelling project combining the arts of fiction and photography has strong La Salle County roots.
Brian Jones and Eric Martin paired their creative writing hobby with the photography hobby of Adam Chapman, and formed a website to display their work.
Jones and Martin are both from Ottawa, but Martin now lives in Lancaster, Calif. The two attended Ottawa Township High School together in the late 1990s and reconnected years later online. Chapman, of rural Marseilles, works with Jones at an environmental consulting firm in Ottawa.
While working together, Jones and Chapman discovered the talent in each other’s hobbies and thought it would be interesting to pair fiction with photography. Jones described their website, Euclid’s Negatives (euclidsnegatives.com), as a grassroots movement to share creative work.
